Defending Muslims in the Wake of 9/11.

A panel discussion featuring Khurrum Wahid and Sean Maher, criminal defense attorneys from the firm of Wahid, Vizcaino & Maher, LLP.  The attorneys discussed the difficulties in defending these types of cases and offered practical advice for the community. 

Co-sponsored by the Muslim Finance Professionals Association.

Empowering Women of Faith: Professional Muslim Women's Panel
A celebration of powerful Muslim women who are changing America.  Panelists were distinguished women from various ethnic and professional backgrounds including corporate law, education and finance.  The women shared their stories and strategies for empowerment in the workplace, discussed issues of islamophobia, and strategies for building solidarity with other women in the workplace.

Held at Teachers College, Columbia University.
