MUBANY/AAANY EID TOY DRIVE!!!

Dear Mr. Rehman,

On behalf of the Arab American Association of New York's board, staff, volunteers and clients, we would like to send you our deepest gratitude for your most recent project, Eid Toy Drive in Southwest Brooklyn. There was a total of 59 donations of books, toys and educational games from your members that brightened this muslim holiday season for children who would have otherwise not have received any gifts.

All of the families served at the Arab American Association are low income, many living in one bedroom apartments with an average family size of 5. Most of our children are immigrants or children of immigrants, struggling in school due to lack of family involvement in their education. We strive to support both the children and their parents by providing after school tutoring as well as adult education classes during the day in hopes that parents will feel more confident to support their children at home.

It's people like the members of MUBANY who enhance the current work that we do at the Arab American Association of New York, where our mission is to empower Arab and Muslim families to become active members of their society.

Attached are pictures of some of the recipients of the gifts. We can only post pictures of kids whose family authorized permission.
