MUSLIM BAR ASSOCIATION OF NEW YORK
2010 RESUME REVIEW & INTERVIEW WORKSHOP

LAW STUDENTS: Need an Experienced Attorney to Critique Your Resume? Need to Improve Your Interview Skills for the Upcoming Hiring Season?

ATTORNEYS: Free to Review a Resume or Help Conduct a Mock Interview?

JOIN US FOR MUBANY'S 2010 RESUME REVIEW & INTERVIEW PREP PROGRAM!

MUBANY will be running its second annual resume review and interview prep program during the summer of 2010. The program will focus on matching law students with experienced attorneys for reviewing resumes. Additionally, law students will be invited to participate in mock interviews with experienced attorneys who are familiar with the on campus, call-back and lateral job interview process. Participants will be able to get live practice and feedback on their performance.

Information for Resume Review Program:*
If you are in the process of preparing for job interviews and would like to participate in the resume review program, please send your resume to Faraz Rana at Farazarana@gmail.com by July 16th at 5pm. You will receive a subsequent email matching you with the attorney who will review your resume.

Information for Mock Interview:*
If you are interested in participating in the mock interview program, please RSVP to Farazarana@gmail.com by July 13th at noon. Since space is limited, please only RSVP if you are committed to attending the event. The mock interview will occur on July 18th. Further details on venue and timing will be emailed once we receive your RSVP.

Information for Experienced Attorneys:

If you are an attorney with two or more years of experience and are able to review resumes or conduct interviews as part of our program, please RSVP to Faraz Rana at Farazarana@gmail.com. Attorneys with experience conducting interviews on behalf of their employers are particularly requested to volunteer for the benefit of the community. The overall time commitment for either the resume review or the interview workshop is expected to be about 3 hours each. The resume review can be done on your own time and schedule.

*Participation in the program is limited to MuBANY members in good standing. Membership is free to law students applying for membership for the first time. To apply for membership or to check on your own membership status, please email Jabbar at jabbar@sharifflaw.com. Experienced attorneys who are not MUBANY members are welcome and encouraged to volunteer.

If you have any questions, please contact farazarana@gmail.com.

Thank you,
